"My move for May 7 1983 was on a first trip on the Mule
It started with 47534 on 1O01, 0600 Derby-Poole from Leamington to Reading,
which re-engined with 47575 forward, which i did to Basingstoke.
The 0645 Plymouth-Waterloo arrived with the highly rateable 50038 *
Formidable* which i did to Waterloo for 1V11, the 1110 Waterloo-Exeter which
produced my machine, 50039 *Implacable*.
I bailed at Basingstoke and did (winning) 33108 to Woking on the 1210
Salisbury-Waterloo for 50021 *Rodney* on 1V13, the 1310 Waterloo-Exeter, to
Salisbury.
It should have been 50047 *Swiftsure* on 1O18, the 1418 Exeter-Waterloo, so
i was not too impressed when 33008 rolled in - even if it was a winner! I
did the 33 to Basingstoke for a DMU to Reading and 50004 *St Vincent* on
1C62, the 1800 Padd-Hereford to Oxford and 47480 home to Leamington on 1M40,
the 1705 Poole-Derby.
