4F02 Nottingham PCD - Liverpool Lime Street Vans.
I first became aware of this turn in 1973 but it had run in earlier years.

The service usually turned up in Stoke-on-Trent somewhere between 21:00 and 21:30.  I have recorded
over 200 appearances of this van turn between 06/06/73-16/06/79 and believe I had made a few sightings before that date,
but am unable to identify them from my notes.  The resulting listing can be found below.

Motive power was most often a Class 45, but Classes 24/25(single & pairs)/46 & 47 were also recorded.

Consist was a very wide assortment of vans, mostly BR standard BG's/GUV & CCT types in various liveries (shorter wheelbase vans were not permitted),
the CCT vans also including the rare 'Tartan Arrow' liveried examples from time to time.  Pre grouping van types also appeared including
ex GWR Siphon vans, ex LMS BG's & ex SR wooden bodied BG and CCT types.  Also included quite often in the consist of 4F02 were
1 or 2 6 wheeled, Olive Green liveried 'Stores Vans', these were former fish vans of LMS origin.  It was also noted that the consist seamed
to be slowly getting shorter over the years, while in 1978(?) at least, it was noted that one or two vans were detached from the rear and
added to what was believed to be a short Longport - Stafford van service.

This service was recorded during the summer of 1979, but does NOT appear in the 1980-81 WTT.  Just when did the service finnish?  If
you can help fill in any of the missing details or add timings for other years, we would like to hear from you..

The listing that follows comprises numerous sighting of 4F02 vans mostly made in the Stoke-on-Trent area.
