KP Mulhall adds:

I was based at Rufford Pit on BR as lampman in 1979-1980-1981 and can remember T11 working out of Rufford with traffic for Avenue coke plant at Hasland and also with traffic for Toton,plus Rufford send one train of HBA/HEA out via Mansfield South Junction which was worked by a class 56 from westhouses on 6T11.

The class 08 stabled at Westhouses at the weekend would not be out of place going through  
Alfreton light as Mon.-Fri.this was outstationed at Bentinck colliery to assist
the class 47 with loading before the introduction of class 56's.
