To allow regular site updates of this site to continue we always
welcome new information.
If you would like to help, and can add any details
to any of the pages on this site, or if you would like to contribute a photo or two that we could use,
then please
contact us by email
and we'll try our best to add any new gen or corrections
to the System asap. But before you do send gen for the first time, please take a look at the Preferred
'Gen' Format page. By using our preferred format you will
enable us to add new gen to 'the System'
more quickly (rather than us having to spend hours editing and
normalising it first) and therefore we will be able to update
more of the site more often. Gen
that is not in our preferred format will still be used, it's just
likely that it will be left on one side until we have time available to carry out the
required editing... Even a single item of gen can
be useful. If you feel that your area of the UK or your favourite locomotive
class is under represented, just send us some info and your gen will find it's way on to the site as time allows.
Although this site was originally intended only for the recording of workings by the NB / Steam heat &
the unusual workings that used to occur, we are always happy to include any gen that we receive,
and we do so regardless of our own personal likes and dislikes. If you have sent us info that as not appeared, then please be patient. Due to pressures on time, not all the pages on the site are amended as quickly as we would like. Please remember that this site is much more that a simple 'cut and paste' operation and a lot more work goes on behind the scenes before your info can appear, much more so most people realise. It can take (and usually does take) many hours work on our databases cross-checking new data, just to allow us to update a single Diary Page. We also make every possible effort to insure that the gen is correct, but we can't guarantee it's all 100% spot on! Looking into the inevitable conflicts and errors can eat up all our available time! If you see any gen on this site that your records disagree with, or if you see any errors no matter however obvious they may appear to you, please contact us with details so that we can look into it and amend where necessary. Diary page updates are usually given priority and we may include gen there that really belongs elsewhere as well...
