These English Electric built 2,700bhp machines entered service in 1967. Initially allocated to the LMR at Crewe, they worked the West Coast Main Line trains north of Crewe, into the NorthWest and Scotland. Between 1973-77 they migrated to the WR. Below are details of some typical day to day passenger duties worked by the Class 50's during the 1980's, featuring their all of regular routes during this period.
